I am a teacher at MWHS. I love teaching English because there is always more than one “right” answer and because effective communication is at the heart of everything we do! I have been teaching at MWHS for nineteen years, which is almost half my lifetime. During that time, I have had the opportunity to teach every class at every level, but ninth grade remains my favorite.
Outside of the classroom, I am obsessed with capturing the perfect shot, so I take a ton of pictures of family and friends. My family includes my husband and two kids. I also love traveling, shopping for accessories, reading young adult novels and watching cooking shows. If I wasn't teaching, I would love to be a party planner, a personal shopper or an interior designer. My perfect day would be spent somewhere warm with my family.
I believe everyone who writes is a writer and that learning through writing is as important as learning to write. I started writing my own blog, Write on Wallace in 2011 and have been encouraging my own students to blog in Thoughts from C106 since 2012. This semester, I hope students will learn about blogging and collaboration from this new endeavor.
